Family games are aimed at families, and unlike children's games, are played by adults and often together with children. Therefore, these are not games that children can necessarily play on their own. Family board games are a great way to have a cozy time with the family, where the focus is on something other than work, school, and the daily grind. It is a pleasant and relaxing way to be together as a family, where you get to look each other in the eyes and can put the phone aside for a while. Times when family board games are particularly appropriate include holidays. How about a nice family board game with rabbits for Easter? A strategy game for the summer holidays, to warm up the brain before school and work resume? Or a family board game with train journeys during Christmas, so you can dream about next year's holiday destinations together? Maybe an exciting mystery game for the long evenings in the autumn break, accompanied by a steaming hot cup of cocoa and a soft blanket? Maybe you are just crazy about the Tour de France at home, how about a game with cyclists? The possibilities are many.

At Card Collective, we have a wide selection of board games that are great as family games. We have both strategic family games, social family games, family board games where speed matters, and family games where you need to use your imagination. You can sit together at the screen and select just the right family board game or games that best suit your family. If you click on the individual family games in the webshop, you can see age recommendations, as well as how long the board game takes and how many participants can join. Here you can also read a short description of the respective family game.

At Card Collective, we are happy to help you find the best family board game for your family. In our physical store in Aalborg, you can also walk around at your leisure and select your games. Here, you can also sit in the Game Room and try out some of our family games, which are freely available on the shelves there. It can be a good way to try out a couple of games, so you can get an idea of what catches your interest at home. It can also be a nice break during a shopping trip, where you can take a rest with a lovely family game with us, completely free. At Card Collective, we love board games and we would like to share our experiences, so you, in your family, can experience the same joy of venturing into the world of games.

Popular Family Games

Timeline

Timeline is an incredibly engaging trivia game, with many different versions - but all have in common that a timeline must be formed over when different things happened. For example, there could be questions like "Was the pencil invented before Washington crossed the Delaware?"

Bezzerwizzer

Bezzerwizzer is a fun and engaging quiz and trivia game, where you can steal questions from your opponents – but remember, they can do the same to you! General knowledge, tactics, and not least know-it-all attitude determine who wins. We have various editions of Bezzerwizzer with different themes. There are also a plethora of different Bezzerwizzer bricks, for just the category you are super sharp in - it could be football, story cities, movies, or maybe Danish history?

Ticket to Ride

This game is about building railway tracks from city to city, it could be in Europe or the USA. The longer routes you can form, the more points you get. If you can also connect the cities on your route cards, you can earn extra bonus points. There are many expansions that add, among other things, sea routes or various cities and countries.

Mysterium

In the 1920s, Mr. MacDowell immediately sensed a supernatural presence when he arrived at his new house in Scotland. However, the ghost cannot talk, so it communicates through visions, represented in the game with picture cards. It is now up to you to make sense of the images to help the ghost remember 3 things about its own death: who killed them, where it happened, and with what weapon? The better the mediums work together and guess correctly, the easier it is to catch the criminal.
