The adventure is over. The dungeon has been plundered, the monsters slain, and the treasure taken, and you are now sitting at the Red Dragon Inn to enjoy your victory and celebrate it in good company with drinks, games, and brawls. The last one of you who is still sober enough to sit up and has gold in their pockets wins.
In Red Dragon Inn, each player chooses one of the game's four adventurers. Each adventurer comes with a stack of cards that reflect the adventurer's special abilities and unique tricks. Each player also has a playboard that shows how much the adventurer has had to drink and how battered they are. Additionally, each player has a stack of coins.
Each round in Red Dragon Inn, the adventurer must take a drink from the stack of drink cards, which include elven wine and dwarven mead, and then they can try to entice the others to drink more, start a game of cards to win their gold from them, or do other fun things.
The four adventurers are: - Priestess Deirdre – who can use her powers to heal and protect the others, but is not strong when it comes to alcohol.
- Warrior Fiona – who is strong and resilient. She can deal out quite a few blows and can handle a good amount of drinking, but she is not so good at keeping track of the gold.
- Hobbit-thief Gerki – a cunning thief who is so skilled at cards that one would think he cheats (which he actually does).
- Wizard Zot – and his psychotic pet rabbit, Pooky, are good at magical tricks that keep them alive, somewhat sober, and give them an edge in the game.
Red Dragon Inn is a humorous game about adventure role-playing for anyone who can imagine a group of thirsty heroes at an inn, or has ever been in such a situation. The game's rules and cards are in English.
