On the table lies a lot of beautiful fabric pieces with wonderful patterns. Now the fabric pieces need to be made into a beautiful quilt. It requires time, creativity, hard work, and not least a lot of buttons. The player who chooses the best fabric pieces and puts them together to create the most complete quilt wins.
This edition of Patchwork is inspired by Nordic handicrafts, as if taken directly from mom's hand-knitted sweater.
In Patchwork, it is not the turn-taking principle that applies. Instead, it is the player who is at the back of the timeline who has the turn.
On your turn, you may do two things:
Buy fabric pieces
You may buy one of the three miniatures that are on the table, in the circle, in front of the time marker. The price, in buttons, is stated on the piece – along with how long it takes to sew it onto your quilt.
Earn buttons
You receive buttons equal to how many spaces you move, and you move until you land on the space after where your opponent currently stands.
The game ends when both players are placed on the last space in the timeline. It is the player with the most buttons who wins.
