In Neotopia, a competitive tile-placement game, you are part of a team of visionaries building a futuristic pilot city focused on the areas of: energy, technology, society, and sustainable food.
You must build elements in the three regions of the city to complete function cards that you have in hand. A good combination of tile placement and card management can result in a very effective turn, where multiple cards are completed, and the city expands. Interaction between players is important because all players build on the same board and can benefit from what other players have built on their previous turns.
You will try to build the most harmonious city possible, as this will be crucial for your score: at the end of the game, you will normally score the regions where you have your two highest scores, but you will triple the score for your lowest scoring region. So be careful! Although it is tempting to build further in regions that are more developed and where you have already scored many points, you will not be able to win the game if you do not start working on the development of the other regions. Balance is the key point in Neotopia.
