Fight for your life in Mansions of Madness Second Edition, a horror board game where a group of investigators explores mysterious houses and their gruesome secrets - while an App ensures that the challenges are new and different each time, so you never know what the mansion hides.

Mansions of Madness takes place in the Arkham universe similar to Arkham Horror and Eldritch Horror, but this time you explore a creepy house, solve puzzles, and fight against demonic monsters and cultists.

Each time you play Mansions of Madness, you set up a scenario with unique challenges.

The Second Edition of Mansions of Madness can be combined with components from the first edition, and the new version is now fully cooperative (i.e., no game master) and much quicker to set up.

How to play Mansions of Madness:

The game takes place over several rounds, each round has 2 phases:

• Investigator phase, players move around the game board, explore their surroundings, and attack monsters
• Mythos phase, the app indicates how the monsters behave and generates mythos effects. These effects can spawn new monsters or create other challenges for the players.

Players can take the following actions on their turn:

• Move action, players can move up to 2 spaces.
• Explore action, the player uses the app to explore an adjacent room.
• Search action, the player uses the app to search the space they are in.
• Trade action, the player may give as many common items, unique items, or spells as they wish to another player in the same space - and the other player must do the same. The player may also pick up items lying in the space or discard items they have.
• Interact action, the player uses the app to interact with a person or object in their space.
• Attack action, the player uses the app to attack a monster.

After each phase ends, a new investigator phase begins - and this continues until the players either win or lose the game.
