In Harmonies, you build colorful landscapes by placing terrain pieces and creating habitats for wild animals. Plan carefully to fulfill your animal cards and score the most points by creating harmonious combinations of nature types and resident animals.
Each turn, players – in clockwise order – choose a set of 3 terrain pieces from the center and place them on their personal game board. Then, they can (optionally) take an animal card from the 5 visible or place an animal cube on a pattern they have fulfilled on the board. Each player can have a maximum of 4 active cards. New pieces and cards are replenished after each turn.
The terrain pieces (such as forest, mountain, field, etc.) score points according to specific rules – for example, mountains score more points the higher they are stacked, but only if they are connected to other mountain fields. When all cubes on an animal card are placed, it is set aside, and a new one can be taken. The cards score based on the highest visible number without a cube at the end.
The game ends when there are no more pieces left in the bag or when a player has 2 or fewer empty spaces on their board. All players take their last turn in the round, and the player with the most points wins.
🔸 Advanced variant: Add Nature Spirit cards for a deeper gaming experience. Each player chooses one spirit at the start of the game, and when the card is fulfilled, it provides a lasting effect – but also counts towards the limit of 4 cards.
