In the old days of Felstad's glory, craftsmen competed to produce the most beautiful, functional, and durable constructions. These living artworks could be seen throughout the city and fulfilled many of the daily tasks that kept the magical metropolis running. They provided transport and security, worked in construction and cleaning, exterminated pests, slaughtered animals, and tended to ovens. Then came the disaster. The ice and snow buried and destroyed not only most of the constructions that were active in the city but nearly wiped out all knowledge of their creation. The constructions animated by explorers in the frozen city are raw in both form and function compared to what once existed.
This supplement to Frostgrave: Fantasy Wargames in the Frozen City contains a study of constructions that provides expanded rules for their creation, modification, and even re-animation. It explores the workshops of enchanters, describes new magical items and basic modifications that assist in the animation process, and also includes a bestiary full of new constructions. Of course, much of the knowledge that was once lost still exists in the frozen ruins, so the book also contains several scenarios set in the once-great factories where the art of creating constructions reached its peak.
