You have just left the police chief's office in London. A murder has been committed in Hyde Park, and your boss has just made it your job to solve it. This is far from your first case, but your gut feeling tells you that something is terribly wrong. You clear your head of thoughts, start the car, and head towards the crime scene. You hunger for justice. On with the gloves, it's time to work.

Chronicles of Crime is a game that combines investigation, an app, a board game, and VR technology.

In Chronicles of Crime, you must solve various cases, and with a smartphone, players take turns investigating the crime scene and looking for clues. The clues match different cards in the game, which depict suspects, potential murder weapons, leads - and via QR codes, the cards (people, places, objects, etc.) reveal different information depending on which case you have chosen to play. By scanning the cards for information, you get clues that you must try to solve in the shortest possible time.

Each case lasts about 60-90 minutes, and many of the cases are interconnected, so the individual cases make up a much larger story. To play Chronicles of Crime, an app must be used (the game supports both iPhone and Android).

How to play Chronicles of Crime:

The game can not be played without the app, which is free.

First, players need to start the app and choose a case they would like to solve. You progress in the game by scanning Location, Character, and Evidence cards.

You can do the following things:

• Scan a location card: you move to the selected location
• Scan a character card: you interrogate the selected character
• Scan an Evidence category card: you pick up a hint you have found, and it gives you extra details and indicates where you should place it on the evidence board
• Scan a forensic contact: you contact your contact person

Locations, characters, and special items are faced down until they are mentioned in the app. During the game, they will be revealed and have specific numbers and symbols that show where they should be placed.

In Chronicles of Crime, time is an important element, and it is also displayed in the app. Every time you scan an item, interrogate a person, or similar, 5 minutes pass. Every time you go to a new location, 20 minutes pass. Time affects the score you receive at the end of the game. The faster you solve a case, the higher score you get.

When you believe you have solved a case, you must report to your superior. You will be asked a lot of questions, for which you must scan the correct cards to answer. Then you will receive your score.
