Blood Rage - Mystics of Midgaard

Expansion for Blood Rage that introduces Mystics, a special unit that can be recruited by players. Contains 10 plastic miniatures as well as cards and rules.

Known by many names (Seiðmenn, Völva, Vísendakona, etc.), and possessing various powers, granted to them through their connection to the gods, these warrior-shamans will be a significant power factor for any clan capable of recruiting them.

Mystics are special units (neither warrior nor monster) that players can only deploy when they have given their clan one of the mystical upgrades. Each of these clan upgrades adds 1 Mystic miniature to your clan's reserves, which can then be used to invade and fight normally. All Mystics have STR 2 and the special ability to invade without costing Rage. Clans can recruit a maximum of 2 Mystics.

In addition to adding Mystics to your reserves, each clan upgrade gives your Mystics a special ability. If you collect several upgrades, each of your Mystics will possess all the powers you have accumulated, making them an incredibly flexible and strategic addition to your army.

In this fast-paced yet highly strategic game, you take control of your own Viking clan with their own warriors, leader, and ship. You must invade, plunder, and fight to gain as much honor as possible before Ragnarök takes the land once and for all. The game features a combination of Adrian Smith's very atmospheric artwork and Mike McVey's incredibly detailed miniatures!

The Favor of the Gods
Many cards belong to one of the Nordic gods, suggesting the strategy they support. For example, Thor gives more honor for each victory in battle, Heimdall provides foresight and surprises, Tyr strengthens you in battle, while Loki actually rewards you for losing battles, or punishes the winner. The influence of the gods plays an important role in the game!

Choose Your Path to Honor
For a Viking, there are many ways to achieve honor. You can invade and plunder the land for its riches, crush your opponents in epic battles, complete quests, improve your clan, or die honorably in battle. Winning battles is not always the best approach, as some cards reward you for losing. The only bad strategy in Blood Rage is to shy away from battle and an honorable death!

Deeply Strategic
Blood Rage offers enough depth to keep any strategic player entertained while providing more casual players with a fantastic gaming experience. You must choose your strategy carefully, but at the same time, be ready to adapt and respond to your opponents' strategies as they unfold. The outcome of battles is determined not only by strength but also by the cards played in secret. By observing your opponent's actions and allegiance to different gods, you can predict which card they are likely to play and plan accordingly.
