The board game Wingspan has become a real modern classic within the tabletop environment. The game is played over four rounds. After a round is finished, there is a small scoring phase, where points are awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the thing that the scoring token indicates. Then, everyone gets their action cubes back minus one, the starting player marker moves on, and the next round is ready to start.

During a player's turn, one of four actions can be taken.

• Catch a bird: by paying the food the bird costs.
• Gather food: The first free space in the food row shows how much food you can take from the feeder. When only one type of food is left, the player can choose to reroll all the dice.
• Get the birds to lay eggs: The first free space in the egg-laying row shows how many eggs you get. Each bird has a number of eggs it can hold. Eggs are also needed when you want to place another or later bird in a row.
• Draw cards: Here you can choose between the three shown, or you can draw a random one from the deck. Here it is also the first free space that shows how many cards you may draw.

For the last three actions, once the main action is done, you activate all the birds in the same row from right to left. This can give points, eggs, food, or more cards. Some birds are activated when other players take a specific action.

When the fourth round is over, points are tallied, and the one with the most points from birds, eggs, and bonus cards wins.
