Wingspan Oceania Expansion (English)

In this second expansion for Wingspan, a range of colorful birds from Oceania are added. The bird cards are mixed with the cards from the base game but can also be used with other expansions.

The expansion includes new player mats, a new color of eggs, and a new type of food that opens up new strategies.

How to Play Wingspan

The game is played over four rounds. After a round is complete, there is a small scoring phase where points are given to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for the thing that the scoring token indicates. Then, everyone gets their action cubes back minus one, the start player marker is passed on, and the next round is ready to begin.

On a player's turn, they can take one of four actions.

• Catch a bird: by paying the food the bird requires.
• Gather food: The first free space in the food line shows how much food you may take from the feeder. When only one type of food remains, the player may choose to reroll all the dice.
• Get the birds to lay eggs: The first free space in the laying line shows how many eggs you get. Each bird has a number of eggs it can hold. Eggs are also needed when you want to place another or later bird in a row.
• Draw cards: You can choose between the three shown, or you can draw a random one from the deck. Here it is also the first free space that shows how many cards you may draw.

For the last three actions, once the main action is done, you activate all the birds in the same row from right to left. This can give points, eggs, food, or more cards. Some birds are activated when other players take a specific action.

When the fourth round is over, points are tallied, and the player with the most points from birds, eggs, and bonus cards wins.
