The Witcher: the Roleplaying Game

The world doesn't need a hero, it needs a professional! The inhabitants of the Continent live in fear of what horrors the night brings, or what lurks in the forest. Monsters can be found everywhere and in all kinds of forms. However, it's not only supernatural horrors that ravage the land, but also corrupt nobles, highwaymen, or soldiers from Nilfgaard make life difficult for the common citizen. In The Witcher RPG, you must help the Continent's citizens with their problems... but only if they can pay for your help.

In the midst of the 3rd Nilfgaardian War, Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf, is scouring the continent in search of his lost love. But this is not the only story. A million other stories unfold across the vast continent, and you are in the middle of one of them!

The Witcher: the Roleplaying Game allows you to tell your own story in The Witcher world! Embark on adventures across the continent, interact with living legends, and influence the politics of the land. Fight in the brutal and terrible Third Nilfgaardian War. Or play your own adventure, trying to avoid death and mutilation!

Like other tabletop role-playing games, it takes place as a kind of verbal improvised drama, where players and the Game Master together create a story with the players' characters in the leading roles. The Game Master's role is to manage the world, characters, and monsters that players encounter along the way. Game Masters can find examples of adventures in The Witcher's world in "A Book of Tales", find information about monsters in "A Witcher’s Journal" or get inspiration for NPCs in "Lord’s & Lands". As a player, all you need is the rulebook, a set of dice, and your imagination!

The Witcher: the Roleplaying Game includes:

  • 9 unique classes
    • Bard, charismatic entertainers who can befriend anyone, embed themselves in society, and sneak into their opponents' minds.
    • Craftsman, talented artists who are not only skilled in crafting weapons and armor but also alchemical concoctions and weapon upgrades.
    • Criminal, smooth operators who can get into any safe, take a life without witnesses, and gather gangs.
    • Doctor, calculating doctors trained in field surgery, allowing them to treat wounds with double effectiveness or cause serious injuries with their anatomical knowledge.
    • Mage, politicians and manipulators who use their earth-shattering power to escape persecution and seek revenge.
    • Man at Arms, warriors with plenty of combat experience, who can calculate their opponents' movements, take down their targets, and make devastating attacks.
    • Priest, men and women of the gods, who use blood rituals to communicate with nature, heal the sick and wounded, or hunt heretics and burn them with holy fire.
    • Merchant, cunning sellers who know the power of coin. They can use their knowledge of products to find vulnerabilities in armor and track down cheap suppliers, and when necessary, they can acquire services and allies to break the competition.
    • Witchers, only those with the right mutations can become these consummate monster hunters, who revel in mutagenic elixirs, simple field magic, and incredibly deadly swordplay.
  • A bestiary filled with terrible monsters: travel around the world and hunt everything from the troublesome Nekker to the large, hypnotic fiend.
  • Lots of spells and invocations: make use of chaotic witcher magic to summon tornadoes, leave secret messages, and much more
  • A violent combat system: tactics and skills are crucial, as just one wrong move can mean blown organs or worse. Even if one survives, complications can continue, as injuries can be persistent and one's equipment continuously needs to be maintained.
