Tyranids

Tyranids are Warhammer 40,000's answer to the classic aliens. Tyranids fly between many planets in the universe in massive Hive Fleets, and conquer planets one by one, after which they collect all organic material and use it to create new tyranids. They make use of a vast number of miniatures in war, but also have large monsters they can bring along if necessary.

Tyranids are unlike any other intelligent alien races that humanity has encountered. They are the ultimate predators; to them, all other living beings in the galaxy are prey.

They are a race solely dedicated to their own survival, reproduction, and evolutionary development. They can merge and form a superorganism called Hive Ships, which systematically devour all biomaterial they come across.
