Adepta Sororitas

Adepta Sororitas, also known as "the Sisterhood" in everyday speech, is a female division of the Imperium of Man's state church - the Ecclesiarchy, or more formally, the Adeptus Ministorum.

The Sisterhood are the Ecclesiarchy's armed forces against spiritual corruption and heresy, both within humanity and all organizations in Adeptus Terra.

There is some overlap between the Sisterhood and the Imperial Inquisition's tasks, although they are entirely separate organizations.
