Just north of Altdorf, not far from the village of Frederheim, the Shallya cult has a hospice. Behind its impressive walls, troubled souls receive help, and some fortunate ones find respite.

One of its residents, 'Lady' Isabella, worries her caregivers. Her quill is incessant, though few can say what she writes. Despite the best efforts of the hospice staff, strange letters continue to appear in her room. Could there be some truth to her claim that she is gathering a truly wonderful collection of writings?

It certainly cannot be that she is who she claims to be - a princess Isabella von Holswig-Schleistein, sister to Emperor Karl-Franz I. Some begin to wonder...

Archives of the Empire: Volume II focuses on the towering walls of muscle and fat, Ogres, who come from the Mountains of Mourn, but reside across the empire and indeed the world.
