The whole world is a stage in Unmatched: Slings & Arrows, where the Globe Theatre becomes a battlefield.
William Shakespeare enters the fray alongside three of his fantastic characters: The Lost Sisters, Hamlet, and Titania. Shakespeare's card set, designed by Jonathan Guberman, was one of the winners in a design competition in 2020, rewarding players who complete lines in iambic pentameter. The Lost Sisters, which was a runner-up from Jason Hager in the same competition, is a multi-hero set that challenges you to realize the witches' brew through clever coordination.
Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature combat game for two or four players. Each hero is represented by a unique set of cards designed to highlight their style and play. Tactical movement and a combat system without luck elements create a unique gaming experience that rewards expertise, but just when you have mastered one set, new heroes come in to provide entirely new combat scenarios.
Fights are resolved quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. But each card's unique effects and a simple yet deep timing system lead to interesting decisions every time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhäuser for long-range attacks and area effects.
