Unmatched: Houdini vs The Genie (English)

In battle, there is no equal.

Unmatched is a highly asymmetrical miniature combat game for two or four players. (Note that this set is for two players only, but it can be combined with other sets, all of which serve up to four players.) Each hero is represented by a unique deck designed to evoke their style and play. Tactical moves and combat without randomness create a unique gaming experience that rewards skill, but just when you have mastered one set, new heroes arrive to provide all new match-ups.

Houdini vs The Genie is named after the two heroes in the game. Houdini may be the greatest illusionist of all time and is now ready to take the gaming tables. Disappear to the other side of the card and play tricks on your opponent. Who are you really facing, a fierce magician or his lovely sidekick? Are you sure you won't be fooled? The Genie is a highly mobile and versatile character. Although he has no sidekick, he can use his lamp to make his opponents live an endless story... Use your cards as damaging resources and make the best wishes to tailor your strategy.

Combat resolves quickly by comparing attack and defense cards. However, each card's unique effects and a simple yet deep timing system lead to interesting decisions every time. The game also features an updated version of the line-of-sight system from Tannhäuser for various attacks and area effects.

The game includes a double-sided board with two different battlefields, miniatures for each hero, and custom life trackers brought to life with the fantastic artwork from Oliver Barrett and the combined design team of Restoration Games and Mondo Games.
