Twilight Struggle: Deluxe Edition

In 1945, unlikely allies toppled Hitler's war machine, while humanity's most devastating weapon forced the Japanese empire to its knees. Where once there were many great powers, there are now only two. The world had little time to recover before a new conflict loomed. Unlike the titanic battles of the previous decades, this conflict would not be fought by soldiers and tanks, but by spies and politicians, scientists and intellectuals, artists and traitors.

Twilight Struggle is a two-player game that simulates the 45-year dance of intrigue, prestige, and occasional warfare between the Soviet Union and the USA. The whole world is the stage where these two titans vie to convince the world of their own ideologies and ways of life.

The game begins in the ruins of Europe, as the two new "superpowers" climb over the wreckage of World War II, and ends in 1989, with only the USA standing.
