The Fellowship of the Ring: Trick-Taking Game

Dive into Tolkien's world with this cooperative trick-taking game that takes players through eighteen chapters of The Lord of the Rings: The Adventure of the Ring. Each chapter can be played separately, but for the full experience, it is recommended to play them in order.

Game Mechanics

• Each player takes on the role of a character – e.g., Frodo, Gandalf, Sam, or Pippin – and must fulfill a unique condition to complete the chapter.
• Frodo must collect ring cards, while Pippin must avoid taking tricks.
• As the game progresses, new characters, items, and challenges are introduced.

Card Deck

• Consists of 37 cards, with one card set aside each round as "lost".
• The player who gets The One Ring becomes Frodo, and the others choose characters based on their hand.
• The One Ring is the only trump card in the game, but it cannot be played first unless it is played as a different color.

Game Types

• Two players: A third "dummy" player receives a hand with some cards face up and others hidden. One of the human players controls the dummy's play.
• Solo: The player controls four open hands, each with a character. Only a couple of cards are available at a time, and new cards are added after each trick.
