As the owner of a traditional tea garden in the Chinese Yunnan region, you face an honorable task: to cultivate, refine, and expand your tea empire along the tranquil river valley. In Tea Garden, tea leaves are your most important resource – with six quality grades and different regions, each producing their own special tea.

Through careful fermentation, you transform fresh, green tea leaves into deep, aromatic brown leaves that increase in both quality and value as they mature. Timing and planning are key to success.

The game is driven by a card-based action system, where you can perform up to four main actions each round. The cards have different strengths, and the stronger the cards you use, the better the effect of your action. With your cards, you can among other things:

• Establish new tea gardens along the river

• Acquire new cards and expand your strategic options

• Trade tea with traveling caravans

• Ferment tea leaves to increase their quality

• Harvest more tea from your fields

In addition to the main actions, you can utilize secondary actions to sail on the river, produce tea cups, or immerse yourself in test studies at the university – all to optimize your game and gain an advantage over your opponents.
