Summoner Wars 2nd Edition - Masters Set

Summoner Wars Second Edition is the updated version of the beloved game that was released in 2009!

The game is an expandable, tactical dueling card game with updated versions of the beloved factions from the first edition, as well as some new exciting factions ready to join the battle!

In Summoner Wars, you play as a Summoner controlling an army dedicated to taking control of the war-torn planet Itharia. Show your tactical skill by overcoming your opponent, but be careful! The enemy will seize any opportunity to find you and destroy your army!

Lots of units, a wide range of spells, the ability to build your own deck - all of this keeps the game fun to play, time and time again.

This edition of Summoner Wars is not compatible with the first edition.

The Master set includes:

• 204 cards (divided into 6 decks)
• 8 Custom dice
• 1 Game board
• Rules and tokens

The new edition of Summoner Wars brings a number of changes, here is a list of the changes you will find:

• The order of phases has been changed, the new phases are as follows:
  1. Summon Phase, 2. Move Phase, 3. Build Phase, 4. Attack Phase, 5. Magic Phase, 6. Draw Phase
• The first player takes a full turn and starts with 2 magic, the second player starts with 3 magic
• Magic now has a track instead of a pile of cards
• Players no longer gain magic by destroying their own units
• If a player fails an attack against an enemy, their summoner takes 1 damage
• The dice have been changed so that 5/6 have a sword symbol, 4/6 have a bow, and 2/6 have a special symbol.
• Event cards no longer have their own phase, they instead describe which phase they should be played in, some event cards are "active events" and must remain in play until your next turn
• A new card type has been introduced: Structures!
• Players start with a gate with 10 life on the board, and have 3 gates with 5 life in their deck
• The deck building rules have been significantly changed, it's better to flip through the rulebook!

There are other minor changes, but these are the most important!
