The Dahlgren belt was once filled with asteroid mining, supplying the entire sector with rare metals and various elemental fuels.

However, the last war caused the operation to wither, and the various outposts and colonies were eventually left to fend for themselves. Some became collectives or limited democracies, while others fell under the rule of gangsters, warlords, and despots. In all cases, the limited resources of air and organic material have made life difficult.

In The Last Prospector, which is an expansion for Stargrave, crews must travel from asteroid to asteroid, and even all the way to the system's last, barely habitable planet, in search of a specific man.

During your journey, you will pass through several different environments - e.g. asteroid mines, zero-gravity areas, and even jungles. Only through a combination of wit, diplomacy, and weapons can you hope to find the last prospector and claim a part of his treasure.
