Pandemic - In the Lab (Exp) (English)

A new medical technology has been developed to treat the infectious diseases spreading across the globe. The In the Lab expansion for Pandemic adds more variety and challenge to your mission to contain deadly outbreaks. This time, there is a whole new way to discover cures and get closer to winning the game. Travel around the board and collect samples of each disease, then use the laboratory to sequence, characterize, and test your cures. Once enough samples have been collected, you must seal yourself behind bio-hazard doors and send the samples through the centrifuge and separator to place them on sequence cards in the correct order. If you can characterize and sequence a disease, you are ready to find a cure!

New Challenges
In addition to the Lab Challenge, In the Lab offers two variants that change the Pandemic game. Now you can face the diseases in a solo game or split into two rival teams and compete to cure and eradicate diseases, prevent outbreaks, and gain prestige. Besides a little help from the CDC, you are alone in the solo game. Keep in touch with your home base and discover the cures before it's too late. If you encounter rival teams, curing diseases is still the ultimate goal, but the prestige you have earned during the game determines the winner. Along with the four new role cards, three new event cards, and challenges that you can combine with them in the On the Brink expansion, In the Lab creates a whole new world of possibilities for Pandemic.
