Nothics are the result of a curse that struck wizards who delved too deeply into mysterious knowledge. Once transformed, the Nothic has no immediate memory of its former self, except for a faint notion that there is a way to reverse its condition.

Despite their degraded state, Nothics possess a unique insight and are able to extract knowledge and secrets from the minds of others.
