No Context (Eng)

In "No Context," you create connections using random art from the fantastic webcomic creator Mr. Lovenstein!

At the start of the game, each player is dealt one of up to 7 picture cards, which they try to get everyone else to guess to secure some sweet, SWEET points! These pictures are selected from some of the most unforgettable comics from Mr. Lovenstein's catalog.

On their turn, players will choose a different panel from those available in the comparison row and place it in one of their sections on the board. They will place the card with the green checkmark facing up to indicate that their target image is the same as this card, or with the red x-side facing up, meaning their target image is different from this card. Each player will be able to do this 3 times to give some guidelines to the other players for guessing.

However, at any time, if a player feels confident that they know the target image belonging to another player, they can place their corresponding numbered betting card face down on that player's betting spot. Players only have one copy for each field, so be sure to wait or know the risks if you go early.

Once all bets are placed, players will take turns revealing guesses about their cards and which card was actually theirs. Correct bets earn points in the order they were placed, so those who wait too long may miss out on points, even if they were right. Be ready to explain yourself when the round is over, as the most fun part of the game is hearing the thoughts behind why your friends made the connections they did!
