Neodymium magnet is the strongest type of permanent magnet that is commercially available. They have replaced other types of magnets in modern products that require strong permanent magnets.

N35 and N52 are a measure of the quality of the magnetic material. The higher the grade (the number after 'N'), the stronger the magnet.

It tells two things:

• How much "magnetic energy" per volume is contained in this magnetic material
• Up to what temperature the magnet can be used
