Munchkin is a mega-hit card game about dungeon adventures... without any of that silly role-playing. You and your friends compete to kill monsters and grab magical items. And what magical items! Show off the Horny Helmet and the Boots of Butt-Kicking. Use the Staff of Napalm... or maybe the Chainsaw of Bloody Dismemberment. Start by slaughtering the Potted Plant and the Drooling Slime, and work your way up to the Plutonium Dragon...

In the Deluxe edition of Munchkin, all the good content from the classic Munchkin comes along with a large, beautiful game board that follows the little munchkins deeper and deeper into the dungeon as they level up. Along with the game board in Munchkin Deluxe, there are 6 munchkin player tokens in different colors, as well as a corresponding munchkin card, so it is clear who has which color token. The game board depicts a dungeon with ten rooms corresponding to the ten levels needed to win the game.

How to play Munchkin

In Munchkin , the goal is to be the first player to reach level 10. You all start at level 1, and throughout the game, you will level up by selling equipment, playing specific cards, and by killing monsters. However, you can only reach level 10 by fighting monsters, unless you have cards that say otherwise.

Munchkin is played over several rounds. Each round consists of several phases:

• Kick down the door, In the first phase, you move into new rooms to fight monsters and gain glory. Kick down the door to the next room by drawing the top card from the door pile. Most of these cards are monsters that you now have to fight.
• Look for trouble, If you did not draw a monster, you can now play a monster card from your hand that you must fight instead. The battle proceeds just like in a regular room.
• Charity, When your turn ends, you may not have more than five cards in your hand. If you do, you must play them, or – if you cannot/will not play, give them to another player, so that you only have five cards in your hand again.

The game ends when a player reaches level 10.
