After half a year of daylight, we must now prepare for the dark season. The roads are treacherous, but they must still be traversed by a few chosen ones to keep the cities running.

In Merchants of the Dark Road, you are one of these brave merchants who defy the dangerous paths between the cities. The job is perilous, but fame and fortune await you on the other side.

You must gather and produce items that you can add to your caravan, or sell them to local heroes and hire them to travel with you. Manipulate the market price of certain goods, visit vendors in back alleys, or explore a nearby dungeon in search of magical items to earn even more money and fame.

Along the way, you must collect lanterns so your passage along the dark roads becomes easier. Deliver goods and heroes to various destinations and gain fame for your bravery!

After all, what is a purse full of coins worth if the people do not sing happy songs about you? And what good is a song if your beer mug is empty?
