A pure dark brown color. Raw umber is made from natural brown clay found in the earth and is named after Umbria, a region in Italy where it was first extracted.

The colors in this series have a very low viscosity, meaning how easily they flow. Unlike traditional ink, which uses dyes, Liquitex Acrylic Inks are made with finely ground artist-quality pigments. Like all acrylic paints, they dry quickly and permanently, and do not bleed when wet or painted over. The colors are also very lightfast, so they do not fade when exposed to light.
