READ is the game for everyone who loves literature.
It mainly focuses on Danish literature from the present and the last hundred years, but READ also draws threads further back in time and further out into the world. READ contains questions about everything from the poets of avant-gardism to the biographies of sports idols and treats all books with respect - and a lack thereof: For the world of literature is not only intelligent and exciting - it can also be petty, elitist, and banal.
READ is for young and old, and even the really old can join in!
Everyone gets a piece that starts in the starting field, and the one whose first name comes first in the alphabet starts.
You roll the dice, and then you have to answer a category question, depending on which space you need to move to on the board. The dice indicates a number from 1-3.
If you answer correctly, you get to roll again. If you answer incorrectly, the turn goes to the next player. If you land on a question space, the other players collectively decide which category you should answer before they read the question on the card. If you answer correctly, you can move a chosen opponent two steps back and get a new roll. If you answer incorrectly, you move two steps back yourself. If you land on a hypnosis space, the turn goes to the next player.
