Khora: Rise of an Empire (English)

In Khôra: Rise of an Empire, you are the ruler of a magnificent city in ancient Greece. It is up to you to develop your city faster and better than your opponents can develop theirs. You can make political choices in each round - philosophy, legislation, culture, trade, and military will shape your city's future. Optimize your dice rolls, collect taxes, send your army to colonize foreign lands, achieve achievements, and ensure that your city will shine throughout Greece!

How to play Khôra: 

The game takes place over 9 rounds, and each round is divided into 7 phases:

1. Event Announcement: the top card in the Event deck is flipped and read aloud
2. Tax: each player receives tax based on their position on the culture track
3. Dice: all players roll their dice simultaneously, and then choose 1 action
4. Action: perform actions in order (the order is shown below)
5. Progress: each player may pay to advance on 1 track
6. Event Resolution: the effect of the event card that was flipped at the start of the round now takes effect
7. Achievement: if a player has completed an achievement, they must receive the corresponding achievement token

You can take the following actions: 

• Philosophy: you gain a scroll that gives you more play progress
• Legislation: you advance on your citizen track
• Culture: gain victory points based on your culture track
• Trade: gain 1 coin more than your economy track level
• Military: make your army larger
• Politics: play a politics card from your hand
• Development: advance to the next Development on your city tile

After 9 rounds, the player with the most victory points wins!
