The story
While Horus' rebellion ravages the galaxy, a completely different war is fought beneath the Imperial Palace. The elite Custodian Guard – the so-called The Ten Thousand – fight alongside Sisters of Silence and Mechanicum forces under Fabricator General Kane. Their goal is to control the ancient eldar webway nodes closest to Terra, which have been overrun by demonic beings following Magnus the Red's fatal intervention.

But the forces of Chaos are growing. Traitor legionnaires and corrupted Battle Titans have joined the enemy, and the grip on the Throneworld tightens. In this desperate struggle, there is only one who can hope to turn the tide: the Emperor himself.
