One dark evening, there is a knock at the door. Outside in the rain stands a princess seeking shelter in the castle. But is she really a true princess? The queen will decide. As a bed, a high stack of comforters and mattresses is made, and at the bottom, a small pea is placed. In the morning, the princess wakes up and has slept poorly. Thus, it is proven that she is a real princess.
Choose a starting player (it could be the youngest in the first game). The starting player begins, and then you take turns playing cards around the table in a clockwise direction – stacking the cards on top of each other to build a higher and higher pile. The goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards from your hand.
When it is your turn, you must play a card if you can, or draw new cards into your hand until you can play or pass after 3 cards. What you may play always depends on the last played card that is on the table. You must either A) play a higher value or B) play a lower value. You may never play the same value.
