Over the next few months, you practice, play concerts, write songs, and promote yourselves. With good planning and a bit of luck, you can build the most fame and become the year's new big artist.
The game is designed by Jackie Fox, a former member of the 70s rock band The Runaways, four-time Jeopardy! winner, and experienced game designer. The illustrations are made by Jennifer Giner. Rock Hard: 1977 can be played by 2–5 players aged 14 and up, and a game lasts about 45–90 minutes.
The game takes place over up to nine rounds. Each round represents one day in a month from April to December 1977. The goal is to gather as much fame as possible by making the right choices at the right time.
