Usurp the Shadow Throne is the 20th set in Flesh and Blood and continues the story in War of the Monarch. The set introduces three notable Shadow heroes: the iconic Runeblade Viserai, the new Necromancer Malice, and the popular Brute Levia.

The story takes you to i’Arathael, where Viserai and Chane meet in a fight to the death. After Chane's fall, Viserai rises as Shadow Lord, with Ursur by his side and an army of Gloomblades. Meanwhile, Malice brings the dead back to the battlefield, while Levia struggles with the insatiable hunger of the demon Blasmophet.
