Feud (Danish)

The king is dead, and there is no heir to the throne. The country's most influential families are trying to gain power through conspiracies, cunning... and blood. You are the head of one of these families.

Feud is a strategic card game where the goal is to keep a straight face and place your cards tactically to deceive your opponents.

Each player has a set of cards representing heirs, assassins, schemers, and so on. Each round of the game begins with players taking turns playing a card face up on the table in a row. In the second half of the round, the cards are activated in the order they are laid out on the table. You can either earn 1 intrigue point from the card or flip the card over and use its special ability to gain the intrigue points that the card has earned. The cards have different effects, some earning extra points while others are used to knock opponents' cards out of the row so they cannot earn points.

A large part of the variation in the game comes from the cards that players have available. Each player has a set of ten identical cards. Three random cards are removed from each set, and the remaining seven are held in hand. No one knows which seven cards the opponents have. Of the seven cards, six will be played. After six rounds, the game ends, and intrigue points are tallied. The winner is the one with the most points.

In Feud, the art of bluffing and knowing which cards to play, where to place them, and when to activate them is key. Feud is an exciting alternative to Citadels, Mascarade, and similar games.
