Behind the Sea of Mists lies a land filled with secrets, fascinating inhabitants, and countless wonders – your task is to explore and document these to achieve more fame than your competitors.

Game Mechanics

In Faraway, during the game, you will lay out a series of eight cards in front of you, from left to right. These cards represent the regions you travel through on your expedition. Characters on the cards grant you victory points if you later fulfill their requirements.

But here’s the challenge: When the game ends, you retrace your route and score the cards in reverse order, which requires careful planning. Each card you play will both set new goals and help fulfill previously established conditions.

Tactical Choices and Timing

Each turn:

1. You play a card from a hand of three.

2. You draw a new card from a visible row of cards.

As the game is played simultaneously, timing and priority play a significant role – if you choose last, you have fewer options in the next round, which can mean less advantageous moves later in the game.
