Eclipse Second Dawn for the Galaxy (English)

Eclipse - Second Dawn for the Galaxy is a science fiction strategy game about conquering the galaxy in a race with other civilizations and space empires. Explore the stars, colonize planets, develop new technology, and build fleets of spaceships to wage war against other players for the all-too-scarce habitable worlds.

Eclipse is a game in the 4X genre (eXplore, eXploit, eXpand, eXterminate), where players must build their strategy across multiple areas. This includes finding new habitable worlds and colonizing them, but also developing successful types of technology that are superior to those of other players, and waging war and forming alliances to become rulers of the galaxy. Over the course of eight turns, where the game expands round by round, it's all about building the empire, achieving your goals, and positioning yourself to withstand the invasion from The Ancients, a mysterious civilization whose return threatens the galaxy.

Eclipse - Second Dawn for the Galaxy is the updated and streamlined version of the older Eclipse game from 2011. This edition comes with improved components and better graphics.

How to play Eclipse:

The game takes place over 4 phases:

• Action Phase
• Combat Phase
• Upkeep Phase
• Cleanup Phase

The game starts with the person who has received the Starting Player Marker and moves clockwise from there, where each player can take an action or pass. This continues until all players have passed.
The first player to pass gets the Starting Player Marker for the next round.

The actions you can take are as follows:

• Explore, Choose one of the unexplored spaces adjacent to a hex where you have a ship or an influence disk and turn over a hex tile from the corresponding stack.
• Influence, You may move up to two of your Influence disks.
• Research, You may choose an available Technology tile from the Supply Board, pay for it, and place it on your Player Board.
• Upgrade, You may change your ship's blueprints by placing new parts on it.
• Build, You may build up to 2 ships.
• Move, You may move your ships up to 3 times.

Once you have passed your turn you may make reactions, which can be either Upgrade, Build or Move.

The game ends after the 9th round. The player with the most Victory Points is the winner.
