Oh, money. There’s nothing like the sound of money clinking in your hands. You certainly prefer it over the sound of money clinking in others' hands, or the sound of money lying in a pile just out of reach, without you having to get up. The time when you had to get up is long behind you. Life has been good to you. Just 10 years ago, you were tending your own fields with a simple straw hat on. Today, your kingdom stretches from sea to sea, and your straw hat is now the largest in the world. You also have the world’s smallest dog, and a statue of yourself, life-sized. Yes, money can’t buy happiness, but it can buy jealousy, anger, and also a kind of empty feeling. You still have problems - annoying neighbors to conquer. But this time you conquer them in style.

Note, this is an expansion and cannot be played without the base game Dominion, or a set of basic cards.

The theme of Prosperity 2nd edition is wealth, and the mechanisms of the game focus on the interaction between Treasure Cards and expensive cards, and the opportunities to invest in cards that are far more expensive than gold and provinces.

Prosperity 2nd edition contains almost the same cards as the first version of Prosperity, but the wording on several of the cards has been changed and 9 new cards have been introduced.
