Deal with the Devil (English)

You are about to build a spectacular medieval city, but will carefully managed loans be enough to outdo your rivals? Wouldn't you rather have unspeakable wealth to build important buildings and boost the city right away? What is the price for such extravagance, you may ask? Oh, nothing more than a piece of your soul...

However, you must be cautious. Others may notice that you are missing this precious part. Moreover, some will punish such shamelessness! Risk or reward, the choice is yours.

Deal with the Devil is a strongly thematic euro game set in a fantasy medieval time. You all take on a secret role as either a mortal, a cultist, or even the devil. Due to the asymmetrical roles, you experience the same game, but with different goals each time.

During the trading phase, you can offer other resources in exchange for money. The devil will tempt the mortals with goods for a part of their soul, while the cultists' souls are cheap for sale. Only the accompanying app knows who is trading with whom.

But beware! If you boast about how well you are doing, it may attract unwelcome attention and suspicion from the other players. It may even pique the interest of the inquisition, which is eager to punish those who cannot prove that their souls are intact.

Will you sell pieces of your soul at the right time to increase your ability to build cities at the risk of future punishment from the inquisition? Or will you carefully manage the repayment of loans and debts while waiting for others to inadvertently reveal their sinister nature? Every choice has a consequence, and each role has its own unique strategic approach to explore.
