Dungeons & Dragons: 5th Ed. - Icons of the Realms: Archdevils - Bael Bel and Zariel

With the blood war raging for eternity with no end in sight, there are plenty of opportunities for ambitious archdevils to achieve fame, honor, and power in the ongoing battle against the demons.

Bael
Count Bael, one of Mammon's most important vassals, has gained fame and recognition for his victories. Bael leads a total of 66 companies of devils and has proven to be a tactical genius, earning respect for both himself and his master as a result of victory after victory. Mammon relies on Bael to protect his possessions. Mammon has never been displaced at a time when so many other archdevils have lost their positions, which is also a testament to Bael's skill on the battlefield.

Bel
From his bastion, Zariel's second-in-command and former lord over Avernus keeps an eye on the forges that supply weapons and armor for the Blood War. Although Asmodeus has asked Zariel to accept Bel as her advisor, Bel and Zariel loathe each other and come up with excuses to remain apart.

Zariel
Once a mighty angel tasked with overseeing the Blood War, Zariel succumbed to the influence of the Nine Hells and fell from heaven. Asmodeus admired Zariel's passion for war and offered her dominion over Avernus. She accepted his offer and was transformed into an archdevil.
