DragonLance: Shadow of the Dragon Queen - Alternate Art is an epic Dungeons & Dragons campaign set in the distant world of Krynn, where the dragon queen Takhisis has returned. Her dragon armies have begun the invasion of the realm of Solamnia, and only the defenders in the city of Kalaman stand between her and the fall of Solamnia. It is up to a group of chosen heroes to stop her invasion before Kalaman falls and the land lies open.

The book reintroduces a classic D&D setting to Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, with classic villains like Lord Soth returning. Enormous armies will march across the continents, and war will be a backdrop throughout the campaign - and through the DragonLance board game Warriors of Krynn, you can fight the wars.

The book introduces you to Krynn, and it contains new Character Options in the form of the hobbit-like kendar and subclasses such as Knight of Solamnia, Mage of High Sorcery, and Lunar Sorcerer, whose magic is tied to the phases of the moons.
