Tiger was among the most feared tanks in World War II, just the mention of the name was enough to cause panic among the Allied armored formations.
The Tiger was quickly sent to the Russian front in response to the heavier Soviet tanks that had caught the Wehrmacht off guard. Its massive square body and rounded turret were a terrifying sight for enemy tank crews. The armor was enormously thick and made of quality steel, making it virtually invulnerable, at least from the front, to anti-tank fire.
