The T-34 tank design is undoubtedly the most important tank ever, with over 84,000 produced featuring innovative design elements.
The T-34/76 was first seen in late 1941 and represented a significant leap forward in tank design - a robust, no-nonsense anatomy and wide tracks allowed it to handle the mud and snow of the Eastern Front. It was the perfect combination of thick, sloped armor and an effective gun, along with extreme robustness, reliability, ease of production, and maintenance.
