Germany's highly effective blitzkrieg tactics in the early years of World War I in Europe, Africa, and the Eastern Front required fast, maneuverable vehicles. German blitzkrieg became notorious at the beginning of the war and continued to prove effective in the deserts of North Africa.
The Sd.Kfz 222 Leichter Panzerspähwagen (lightly armored reconnaissance vehicle) was a four-wheel drive armored car built by Horch and armed with a 2 cm light autocannon and coaxial MG34 machine gun. The Sd.Kfz 223 command variant removed the autocannon and added radio equipment with a characteristic antenna frame. Seeing action in all theaters of war in which German forces participated, it was also displayed by Romanian, Bulgarian, and nationalist Chinese armies.
Contains one plastic model that can be built as either an Sd.Kfz 222 or Sd.Kfz 223, Bolt Action Order dice, Bolt Action stat cards, vehicle damage markers, assembly booklet, and a full-color water slide decal covering German, Romanian, Bulgarian, and nationalist Chinese vehicles.
