Bolt Action: M3 Grant (Western Desert)

M3 Medium Tank was an American tank used by British, American, and Soviet forces. British troops nicknamed American tanks to avoid confusion caused by the American military coding system. The original M3 was known as Lee, and the British turret variant became Grant - both named after generals from the American Civil War.

British Grants were in action against Rommel's forces during the North African campaign. Their appearance was a surprise to the Germans, who were unprepared for the Grants' 75mm gun. Overall, its armor and firepower were equal to or superior to most of the threats it faced. On the battlefield in 1942, long-range, high-velocity guns were not yet common on German tanks.

Grants served in North Africa until the end of the campaign and were generally appreciated for their mechanical reliability, good armor protection, and heavy firepower. This variant comes complete with track guards that offered the tank more protection during combat in all the theaters it served in.
