Bolt Action: Japanese - Type 91 So-Mo Armoured Car (English)

Known as Type 91 broad-gauge railroad tractor, the So-Mo could quickly switch between road and rail – a rare feature for its time. It could reach speeds of about 40 km/h on roads and nearly twice as fast on tracks.

The So-Mo was used by both the Imperial Japanese Army and Special Naval Landing Forces (SNLF) during World War II and also participated in the invasion of China in 1937. The vehicle had no integrated weapons, but the crew often carried a 7.7 mm machine gun, which could be fired through the observation ports in the turret.

Despite its light LMG crew, the So-Mo is a cheap and flexible armored vehicle that can transport up to six infantrymen across the battlefield. It is particularly effective on rail-based game boards where railways are part of the terrain.
