Product information

Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B, also known as Jagdtiger (jagtiger) was the heaviest tank during World War II. It was developed late in the conflict and saw only about 80 actual engagements, the first in September 1944.

Germany, like many other nations, made use of existing tank designs to create self-propelled guns and tank destroyers. The Jagdtiger was a colossal example of this practice - the Germans wanted to upgrade the much-feared Tiger II by mounting a 128 mm Pak 44 gun in a specially built armored box on top of the extended King Tiger chassis. 150 units were ordered to tackle the ever-encroaching Soviet armor – the Pak' is more than capable of tearing through Allied armor.

The Jagdtiger weighed 71 tons and had 10 inches of armor on the front, making it one of the best-protected tanks of the war. However, all that weight and protection came at the cost of reliability. Many roads and bridges simply could not withstand its weight. This, combined with the increasing scarcity of spare parts and fuel, kept the Jagdtiger from fulfilling its full potential.

Jagdtiger includes:

  • 1x Tank
  • 1x Unit Stat card
  • Damage markers
  • Stickers

Note: All miniatures are unassembled and unpainted.
