Bolt Action: British 8th Army - 6 pounder ATG (Eng)

QF 6-pdr was the very successful replacement for the 2-pdr, which was copied by the Americans and made into the 57 mm gun, M1. Its lifespan was extended by new developments in ammunition that improved its armor-piercing capabilities, allowing it to take out Panthers and Tigers from the flank.

Although it was supplemented by the 17-pdr, it was never completely replaced and continued to serve in infantry units long after the war ended.
