In Biotopia, players are butterfly enthusiasts who create flower gardens to attract beautiful butterflies and thereby collect points. Biotopia is a Danish-developed family card game.

The game is easy to learn but hard to master. A game that draws on familiar mechanics from games like Splendor, Magic: The Gathering, and Wingspan.

It is a game that the whole family can play. At the same time, you learn the names of the butterflies that fly around in your garden. Your children will love to recognize the lemon butterfly or the admiral.

The developer behind the game has made learning an important parameter in relation to the game's content. At the same time, it has been important for the developer to find a Danish publisher for the game.

How to play Biotopia:

In Biotopia players take turns. Each player can perform one action on their turn. When a player has performed their action, the turn continues to the next player and so on.

Each player can choose between five different actions on their turn:

• Draw a card from the deck.
• Take one of the three open cards from the sky.
• Play a card from your hand as a flower (back/flower side up).
• Play a card from your hand face up, but only if the player has the necessary number of flower symbols in their flower row to play the card.
• Take one of the mission cards, provided the player meets the mission's requirements.
